Well made but won't stay tight

The strap is well made but I have some problems with the strap closure device allowing the strap to slacken after I have pulled it tight, which allows the load to shift around while I am carrying it. There were no instructions so maybe I am not using it correctly.

I bought one of these and forgot to put it in my car. My sister bought me a juicer for Christmas and I had to get it home. I initially started wrapping twine around the box which kept getting tangled. My sister then walks in with one of these! It was so easy and much much simpler than the twine. I liked that I could adjust it well enough so the box didn't slip out. It is very well made and sturdy. I wasn't concerned about it breaking at all.

Well-designed strap/handle for easy lifting

This well designed strap handle is a perfect solution for carrying 2 1/2' tall box through Union Station and onto an Amtrak train. The strap is easy to use and the handle is comfortable. My mom wanted me to take an angel statue to Texas from CA. This strap will make my life easier while traveling with a large heavy box.

I love these! I live in a complex so I have to carry stuff up and down a flight if stairs. I have had back surgeries and neck/shoulder injuries. It is difficult to carry stuff. My main use is to carry boxes down for recycling. I put the broken down boxes in a box then wrap this around it. There are times that I have lots of boxes and the recycle dumpsters are full. People put crap & donäó»t break down there boxes. I have to carry it back upstairs. These are so easy to use!

I have a large cat who managed to break the handle off of his carrier. I didn't want to buy a new carrier so I found this strap. It works great. My only concern is that it does stretch a bit when I carry weight with it. Don't know that I'd recommend using this for carrying fragile items.

I must hold the handrail on the stairs because I have really bad knees. Anything I carry has to be held in one hand. A case of bottled water was too big for a tote bag, so I used this. I was able to get it downstairs. When I acquired a cart designed for taking things up and down stairs, I used this like a super strong bunji cord to keep the boxes on the cart.

Bought for light duty use, but works fine

I bought this not to move heavy things, but to add a grab handle to an 8" telescope. It makes it much easier to move. I like the bright yellow so I can see it at night.

Sturdy and adjustable

I bought a canvas dog carrier & it only had handles on each side of its bulky mass, making it very difficult & awkward to carry with a dog inside. Strapping this sturdy strap around the carrier & through each handle & now having one handle over the top of the carrier made it so much easier to carry! Problem solved!

OK for my intended use.

I use it to help lift a dob telescope tube. It works OK. Had to buy 2 to help balance dob when lift it and could not tighten straps enough to prevent sliding on the smooth telescope tube. Need to come up with a way to prevent sliding.

Handy strap

I like that the product is very study I just wish it had a little more space between the handle but this product worked wonders recently I had carry a 25 pound step ladder on a bus the strap came in very handy.

I have a computer that I stuffed with every component I could find . When I had to take it to the shop it was so heavy I dredded the coming experience . It is way more heavy than 40 pounds . I used 3 of these actually . It worked fine .

Bought two - one was shorter than advertised - but they work like a charm

I bought two for an awkwardly sized box I needed to carry upstairs. I thought I would need to have two grips to manage it. But one of them was a good 10" short fully extended. However, I used just one and it worked like a charm. This really is such a boon to a single person. You don't want to call a friend to carry a single box up stairs. I love all of these little helper tools that make doing something alone easy peasy. If you are buying it for a specific size though - probably buy larger. Then if they send it short you won't be caught out.

Everyone Needs This!

We recently purchased this strap as an aid for helping my daughter move into her NYC 4th floor walk-up apartment. We were ordering a lot of things for her apartment including a bed and bed frame that were being delivered in boxes. This strap was very handy to help us carry all of those things upstairs. The handle is comfortable with a super-comfy grip. There are different sizes so think about what your needs are and order the appropriate size. I now realize how handy this would be to keep this on hand for a lot of other uses.

I use this to carry fans into peopleäó»s home to help carpets dry. Iäó»m a carpet technician that steam cleans. It carryäó»s them ok but if you are loose with your swinging it can snap lose and youäó»ll drop whatever youäó»re carrying. They need a better design on the clasp that doesnäó»t come lose as easy.

I bought this handle to carry an odd object which were long and fairly heavy (pole vault poles in carrier). It worked perfectly for what I needed. Shopped around quite a bit before buying and this was the best product that would have worked for my unusual need. Great value.

Very good to carry checked box at airport

These worked perfectly to take a box with gear in it onto a plane as checked luggage. It helped me be able to take move my suitcases plus this box on my own out of SeaTac airport in the middle of the night to get stuff to my son. I couldn't have done it without them! Very pleased.

it works like it should. we use it to carry boxes specially when travelling. When i use it for traveling riding a plane, after i check in my luggage, i take it out, just in case someone steals it. the only thing is that needs working, like any strap its leftover. you kinda don't know what to do with it.

They concept of this is a life saver. Even when I have 1 box to carry the handle makes it so much easier to carry. There is a struggle to customize the sizing for each specific use. The strap is does not adjust as easily as I would like and then there is the hanging left over strap that does not stay in place. Maybe there is a trick to it I have not discovered yet. Still happy with my purchase.

I bought this strap as an aid for stroke victim to use to pull up in the bed--works perfectly by running strap over the headboard of bed and positioning padded handle above head--tighten up the fit and it stays snug--strong enough to pull on and fabric is nice enough that leaves no marks or scratches on the head board-and padded handle unexpected bonus for pulling. Have a sleigh bed headboard and this was plenty long enough-sure makes getting in bed easier

Very sturdy and helpful

I really like this product. I live in a 3rd floor apartment and sometimes have to carry boxes up or down the stairs. I'm a little older now and I really like to have one hand on the railing for safety. The Strap-a-Handle makes that possible. It has a heavy duty sliding clip that makes it easy to position and snap and then snug into place. The nylon strap in wide and very sturdy and the thick padded handle makes it comfortable to lift and carry heavy loads. The only thing that keeps the product from receiving 5 stars from me is that it really needs a stabilizing strap across the middle. While I haven't had any loads come apart on me, it does take a little balancing sometimes. All in all, a very good product though.

These Handles are great for lifting / dragging very heavy boxes. I use it for boxes < 70lbs. Makes loading / unloading from a cart very easy when I check in the boxes at the airport. The handle feels like a neoprene material and works well. Construction is very solid and the strap itself is very strong.

Heavy duty strap

6 ft when wrap around is actually small. It's a good idea, the material is built to handle heavy lifting. But when it's time to carry, I can't remember I have these in the closet. I left in the box that was checked in the airlines, and when I claimed my luggage the strap was gone.

For the price, it doesn't get any better than this!

For the past year my team and I have been couriering material from Hawaii to Bangor Maine and everywhere, and I mean everywhere in between. This strap has not let us down once. It's easy to use, sturdy and has given us no problems whatsoever. I have been asked many times as I transit the nations airports, where did I buy this handy handle and have even had people ask if they could carry it a bit to see how comfortable it was to use. And when your done with your delivery it folds up and is held together with a velcro strap that is attached to the handle so it doesn't get lost. If your looking for something to make carrying those bulky but not necessarily heavy boxes around I can't say more about this item. I have to say one thing though. It became necessary to carry a bit more weight at one point and that put some stress on the foam handle and it begain to tear. Even with that though, I still gladly give this strap 5 stars.

i needed the 8 ft straps but could NOT find them anywhere. finally turned to amazon and here they were. ordered saturday and arrived thursday---ahead of original schedule. i'm using it to help carry a large cat crate that had no handles and bulky to hold. straps very wide, good quality and nice soft handle.

Very useful item you didn't think you needed

If you are tired of carrying boxes like babies, this strap is for you. Works much better than the old string and wire handles for packages up to 12 " wide. And no more cramming stuff into a pack or briefcase.

Strap-a-handle well worth the price!

Used two of these to ship two boxes to the Philippines as part of my baggage on airplane. I was at 50lb. per box, the max rating for the straps. The straps enabled me to carry the boxes to the car and thru the airport to check-in. Left them on during flight and they were still on the boxes at baggage pick-up when I arrived in the Philippines. The straps stretch a little at max 50lb. but he boxes were still very manageable. Well worth the cost.

Great for large and irregularly shaped packages

Wish I had ordered a 6' and an 8' instead of two 8 footers as sometimes the 8' is to big for some irregularly shaped parcels. However, as a 55 plus individual I really love being able to lug the Costco sized toilet paper and paper towels with one hand! We keep one in the house and one in the car.

Worked Well to Bring a Large Carton on a Trip, Handle Could be Better

This strap handle worked very well to take a large flat package on a recent trip. The only problem that I experienced was that the foam rubber cushion on the handle was a little too soft, and so it slid around on the rigid core of the handle. Overall, I'm pleased with the product and it made taking the carton with me much more feasible, but the handle wasn't especially comfortable given the thirty, or so, pound carton that I had to carry about half a mile.

Useful and verstatile but not a good value

These straps are an easy way to add handles to ungainly objects that don't have their own. I use a pair for carrying a Dobsonian telescope. But I can't figure out how a length of strapping and a buckle are worth ten bucks; six would be a fair price.

Perfect for checking boxes at the airport

We check boxes for international flights to save on shipping to tradeshows. I tried making cardboard handles a couple of times, but usually they broke and/or hurt your hand. A must have if you are moving or do anything that involves carrying a lot of boxes for whatever reason. I have a bad back and it has saved me a lot of embarrassment plus it allows you to carry more than you normally would without the strap. I used it to carry some dj equipment to a wedding from the truck and it saved me quite a few trips as I have a bad back. Very durable, It is everything it is advertised to be and Amazon rocks!

I got a pair of these before moving house, and they've been such an asset. I can easily carry twice as many boxes, and without strain on the back. Holding a handle in each hand at my sides beats hefting things against my chest. They're sturdy - I've carried air conditioners and a pair of old computers without any trouble. Attaching and detaching is a breeze, with the pair of strap adjustments and the large plastic clip. It's easy to pull it tight enough to keep a stack of small boxes in place, too. If you frequently drop off/pick up parcels, or if you're moving and need to take a bunch of boxes up and down stairs, you'd be glad to have a pair of these.
